The project shape creating processes arose out of the encounter with Iranian culture and the perso- nal experience of discovering civilizational origins - which are still tangible in language, tradition, art and architecture in Iran today.
In their consensus, these works are experiments and attempts to generate and observe living processes and forming forces which evolve through the principle of an effect organized or emanating from the center.
ORIGO | MEDIO | FINIS:
In the first phase ORIGO schemes of geomorphological processes with the elements earth and water were created.
Using the same procedure, in the second phase MEDIO the plant-physiological formation of grain (in Middle High German „getreide“, „getregede“, meaning „that which is carried [by the earth]“) was integrated.
In the third phase FINIS, the grains were isolated from their „natural“ milieu, the earth, and planted in a construction that carries out the flow of water from a central reservoir through capillary action.
The water-induced self-organization of shape formation of soil and plants was produced in long-lasting procedures. These were captured by photographs and further processed into stop motion.
